For the fourth consecutive year, the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha will be participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life held at Saint Louis University on April 20, 2012. Relay for Life is a philanthropic event intended to celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against cancer. Since 1985, Relay for Life events across the United States have collected more than $3.5 billion in the fight against cancer. In 2011, over 5,146 Relay for Life events across the country raised more than $385 million. Proceeds from Relay for Life benefit cancer research and are also used to aid in the prevention and treatment of cancer. This year Lambda Chi has set a fundraising goal of $1,000. With the help of our family, friends, and brothers we hope to achieve our fundraising goal and make a difference in the fight against cancer.
