Our Creed

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha and its traditions, principles and ideals. The crescent is our symbol, pure, high ever growing; the cross is our guide denoting service, sacrifice and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be in following that ideal.

May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

Light the Night + Forums

On Friday, September 11th, 2009, Pi-Lambda Zeta participated in the annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk in Forest Park. Walking among us was our advisor, brother, and leukemia survivor, Dr. Ken Schafermeyer. We raised over $1300 putting our grand total over $3400 for the amount of money we’ve raised since beginning our participation in 2006. The money will go towards finding and funding cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, as well as improving the lives of patients and their families.

The Society’s nationwide Light the Night walk was created to build awareness of blood cancers, and celebrate survivors, and honor those whose lives have been touched by cancer and ranges from two to three miles.

In other news, I’m proud as your administrator to introduce to you our very own forums! Please use this venue to mingle with current brothers as well as alumni. The link is http://stlcoplxa.freeforums.org/index.php .

Light the Night Leukemia Walk

It is time once again for the Light the Night Leukemia Walk. The Brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha will be walking for this awesome cause. The walk is the night of September 11th and starts at 7:00 pm in Forest Park. The money raised for this charity help patients and their families that are suffering from leukemia and lymphoma. If you are interested in participating or making a donation please email Michael Duley at mduley@stlcop.edu.

Events Calendar

Good news everybody! As you may have noticed we have a nifty events calendar on the left sidebar now so you now you can’t say “I didn’t know this event was today!”  Unless of course I neglect to update the calendar then feel free to say whatever you want.  Expect more changes to the site.

New Officers

The new officers are updated on the officers page. The new officers will assume power on the first meeting (January 25th, 2009) during the officer installation ceremony as performed by our High Pi.

Grand High Alpha Award

During this year’s General Assembly, Pi-Lambda Zeta won the highly coveted Grand High Alpha Award.  We obtained a copy of the video thanks to Chris Barrick at IHQ:
