Our Creed

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha and its traditions, principles and ideals. The crescent is our symbol, pure, high ever growing; the cross is our guide denoting service, sacrifice and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be in following that ideal.

May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

Why Lambda Chi?: Everyone knows how the story goes. I went to Springfield, Missouri to visit from friends…who happened to be Lambda Chis. While they had lost their charter a semester prior, they were still a fully functioning chapter. I enjoyed my weekend and as I returned to St. Louis, the more than year-long journey began to bring Lambda Chi Alpha to St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Something about yourself:
1. Married Angela Schnake (’09 as well) on June 28, 2008. The wedding was attended by more 20+ Brothers.
2. 50% owner (Along with Nick Dryer) of “The Duchess of Woodson-Upon-Maryland-Upon-McPherson” who has been featured as the Mascot on every Composite Photo for the chapter since 2006.
3. Once threw a large landscaping rock ~15 yards and crushed a squirrel while drunk. [Nick Dryer will full corroborate this story!] The next day I threw a football over a mountain.
4. Played in 2 Missouri HS Baseball State Championships. Due to my being on the team (and nothing more), I and the rest of the team were inducted into the Sikeston High School Hall of Fame.
5. Still Undefeated Heavyweight (>200 lb) Champion of Leg Wrestling within Pi-Lambda Zeta.
6. Due to a horrible automobile accident, I have a prosthetic wooden leg and a flesh-and-bone foot.
7. Completed the Iditarod (Dog Sled Race) in near world record pace with 50% of his being blind and the rest suffering from a bad case of the gout.
8. Was editor of High School Newspaper (”The Bulldog Barker”) in 11th/12th grade. Had a “column” on the back page of most issues titled “Photoshop Phriday” where I manipulated photos of students to make them look stupid and/or retarded or make fun of their inadequacies. I was also awarded a SHOW-ME Award of Excellence in Journalism (Essentially, First in State) for an expose done on shoplifting in Sikeston. [This is entirely true.]
9. Member of Missouri Boys State staff working with IT Department (during the program),  and fundraising, HS Recruitment, and Program Orientations (Year Round)
Nicknames and how you got them: TheEmbellisher/”OH, NOW BRANDON” - I’m well-known for taking a normal story, doubling it (to make it more awesome, of course) and retelling it as a bigger and better version. Knowing this, I’d suggest rereading this entire profile for veracity.
Where you going after graduation? I’ve signed on to work at Super D Drugstore in Sikeston, Missouri. The wife will be working in hospital pharmacy in either Sikeston or Cape Girardeau.
