Our Creed

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha and its traditions, principles and ideals. The crescent is our symbol, pure, high ever growing; the cross is our guide denoting service, sacrifice and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be in following that ideal.

May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

Why Lambda Chi?: I came to college with the “Animal House” perception of fraternities and wanted nothing to do with them. Instead I set out to make my own friends, and did so with a great group of guys. Then, wouldn’t you know it, it turns out that they are all Lambda Chis. I associated because of the Brothers and I stayed because of what the Brothers do for the community. We truly are the best thing on campus. You have to see it to believe it.
Something about yourself: I was born and raised in Southern Illinois. I wouldn’t trade my life in the SoIL for anything and long to provide my own family with the same experience. I own a DJ business with my best friend from high school. I married my high school girl after a 7 ½ year relationship. I’m ready to be done with school but will miss college and the guys too much to think about. I guess you could say my roots run deep… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Nicknames and how you got them: They call me Pat… real original huh?
Where you going after graduation? Hopefully a career-long gig with the United States Public Health Service. Twenty to thirty years there, a few moves, some promotions and then take my rank and experience to the political realm. We’ll see what happens from there.
