Our Creed

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha and its traditions, principles and ideals. The crescent is our symbol, pure, high ever growing; the cross is our guide denoting service, sacrifice and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be in following that ideal.

May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

Why Lambda Chi?: The choice wasn’t between LXA and another fraternity, it was LXA or no fraternity. This is because I liked the idea of joining a brotherhood, but not at the expense of self respect, and that is why I always hated fraternities. When I heard that LXA was a fraternity that did not believe in hazing and actually took a stand against it, I knew this was a good group of brothers, and this was what I had been looking for. I respected the stand that they made and the shit they went through to make this fraternity happen, and I wanted to be a part of this fraternity because I knew that these men were men that I wanted to follow.
Something about yourself: I was born and raised in a small town about an hour south of St. Louis. I played football in high school and worked out like crazy, but all that went to shit once I came to stlcop, I gave up working out and started drinking with the same intensity. I hate the city, it’s dirty, it’s filled with dirty people, and there is nothing to do except drink. I also like music.
Nicknames and how you got them: BRONCO (must be all caps) I believe James Houpt coined the nickname, but the circumstances surrounding this name are a bit fuzzy, It was second year, and it was the first night of my class’s weekend before I week. We were all in a barn down near Brandon’s house in Sikeston, and there just happened to be an old bronco or jeep or something in the barn. At some point in the night, I was a little intoxicated and I was rocking out to some tunes on an Ipod while sitting inside this bronco and trying to drive it, luckily for me and everyone else, there were no keys in the damn thing because I’m sure I would have killed someone if I had got it started.
Where you going after graduation? Not sure right now probably south.
