Our Creed

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha and its traditions, principles and ideals. The crescent is our symbol, pure, high ever growing; the cross is our guide denoting service, sacrifice and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be in following that ideal.

May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

Why Lambda Chi?:
The story of why I associated Lambda Chi is a long and harrowing one.  It can be attributed to Brothers Max Wittler, and Chris Anderson. Back when I was a freshman they mentored me for psychology class, and I saw what kind of men these founding fathers were and I can only believe that they were the way they were because of Lambda Chi.  When smoker week came along I noticed that the brothers of LXA made a real effort to go around and talk to all the prospective members and get to know them. LXA seemed to be a truly genuine group of people that already had a good image in my mind as a group that was involved on campus philanthropically, academically, and socially. LXA allowed me to be more like the involved person that I was my senior year in high school than the lazy lump that I was 1st year.
Something about yourself:
I’m Sam, and I’m actually from Chicago. Not some suburb. I grew up in the same house my entire life as the middle child. You could say I was the average one with my brother being much smarter than me, and my sister being much older than me. I’m a rather simple person that cares way too much about whether or not my grammar is correct. I went to Whitney Young high school, which was Michelle Obama’s alma mater. My high school was largely what shaped me into the person I am today. I like being in a culturally diverse environment. My interests include politics,  glowsticking, checking my email way too much, listening to rock, and watching movies and cartoons from my golden days.
Nicknames and how you got them: My name is too short to make into a nickname
Where you going after graduation? After graduation I don’t want to end up behind some counter at a Walgreens. After graduation I would like to go to Washington D.C. to lobby Congress for pharmacy benefiting policies.
